Even though I am not even close to being done with my blog posts, I am going to try to keep up with the currently daily events in my blog as well work on my posts from my vacation with my mom. We shall see how this goes. But make sure to check back on the post prior to this one because I plan to add information from my trips as I get them written.
Today was back to the norm in Denmark. I had to wake up early to get to my 8:30 class. Following that I had my history class, which was still relaxing except for the last 10 minutes when we were returned our midterm tests (I did well ☺). After those two classes, I made myself comfortable in DIS for a little while. I don’t really have any immediate work that needs to be done as of yet, so I pretty much occupied myself with emailing, writing some of my blog, posting photos of Facebook, etc.
The one important thing I accomplished today was registering for classes back at Elon. Overall, everything went fine, however it was a little nerve racking for about 10 minutes because the server at Elon kept kicking me offline. I was expecting this would happen (since it usually does), but being thousands of miles away and 6 hours ahead of the people who could help me made things slightly more on edge. In the end, I did manage to get all the classes and sections that I wanted. Once it was finished, it was actually more shocking because I realized that I had actually just registered for courses that I would be taking my senior year of college. I cannot believe that within a few months time, I will be a senior! Where has the time gone?
A few more emails and random tasks later, I decided to head up to the train station to get my new transportation pass for these last five weeks that I am in Denmark. After that, I simply headed back to DIS to putz a little while longer until my last class of the day. It is definitely getting easier to go to my late afternoon class now because of the fact that it is staying lighter outside later. The sun doesn’t start to go down until about 8:00pm, giving me more than enough time to get back to Hillerod in the daylight. I just hope that it doesn’t ruin my sleep habits, since it also tends to get light outside by about 6:30 in the morning.
While the day was not that productive by any means, it was definitely nice to see everyone back from their travels. Everyone seemed to have a great time. I think it is also interesting to be back in Copenhagen after traveling for a couple weeks. I will admit that when I was back here only a week ago with my mom, I wasn’t ready to be back. However when I landed at the airport yesterday, I did feel a sense of home and rejuvenation for the rest of the semester. I am very excited for these last weeks here in Denmark because I know I am going to fall in love with Copenhagen in this time. I must admit though, that I am also excited knowing that I get to see family and friends (and boyfriend) in only five weeks. Knowing that I don’t have much time left I think I am going to be constantly reminded to appreciate every moment I have left even more.
